1/25/26: Rivers Cuomo Whyyyy

I just wanted to sleep but then randomly thought that I should listen to the whole 'Pinkerton" album by Weezer. And so I did (almost). At first I was surprised that many of the songs were pretty good but then I listened to 'Across the Sea' and 'El Scorcho' (also no idea what that means) and I remembered that Rivers Cuomo is a bit weird in the context of asian women and furthermore I'm confused why he mentioned the girl in 'Across the Sea' to be 18 when he was like 27 I think. That's pretty weird right? Idk. But that's why I didn't listen to the whole album.
I am just noticing that I listened to all songs except one wowie

1/19/26: Veganism Rant

I really hate living in a world in that people just don't seem to think. (Yes, I like the song 'The Unthinking Majority). But really, while I am aware that no person is perfect and such, I just hate the ignorance. I also am aware that it is not purely ignorance, but also the lack of knowledge which is upheld by people, so the consumers buy their products and such. I can't really put my thoughts into words right now but I think it's pretty obvious what I'm trying to convey.

What do people think causes cows to produce milk? Why does no one think for a second and notice that if humans only produce milk when it is needed, after the birth of a child, why should there be other mammals, that are just slightly different regarding biological bodily procedures and organs and so on, who produce milk all the time?? It just doesn't make any sense. Even I, not having had any biology classes in school for a pretty long time, can come to that conclusion.

And it's not only milk (obviously). As everyone should know the meat industy is, too, fucked. And eggs? Nobody would want to see that shit. (Can you tell I'm annoyed?) It's so discouraging to see people advocating for human rights and that being oh so important to them but never ever caring about other living, feeling and pain-enduring creatures. I really have to try to see the good in humanity and not grow more and more misantrophic every day.

Yes, my dear reader, have you perhaps noticed anything regarding the animal products that are not meat?
Well, yes! They all come from biologically female animal bodies. And thus it continues, humanity's long history of the exploitation of the female body. Everyone should agree that a woman being forced to give birth to a child, going through an often highly physically and mentally traumatising experience involuntarily, is utterly terrible and should never happen. Then why should that be totally disregarded when it happens so so often to non-human beings? The reason for that happening solely being the short, fugacious and, especially today, totally unnecessary pleasure of consuming something like a milkshake or a chocolate cupcake. With especially today I am referring to the fact that there are so many vegan products sold nowadays that anyone hardly has an excuse to consume animal products.

And yes, I am aware that this is not the case anywhere, yes, poor people exist. Howeverrr, in general, being vegan is pretty affordable from my experience and moreover, I am for the most part talking about people that have enough money and good access to these products but are not even remotely considering to become vegan or even vegeterian (which is super super super easy). I am also not blaming a person who tries to buy vegan products as much as possible but live with their non-vegan parents and has to eat that food. Something that needs to be said more often is that one does not have to and should not be expected to be perfect 100% of the time to be vegan. The definition of the vegan lifestyle / philosophy is:

"Veganism is a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude—as far as is possible and practicable—all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose[.]"

Well, now I did't write about the topic from my heading at all anymore. But I hope you get my point.
As well as women should not be exploited because of biological factors that they never chose to have, no being should be exploited. It is scientifically proven that animals feel pain due to their central nervous system (I belive, I am not that experienced in biology), they have emotions, a sense of family and all that. What more reasons do people want?

1/18/26: Poetry

I thought a little about my poems. Sometimes, I like most of them, but right now, I think that they are devoid of good vocabulary, metaphors and true expressiveness. Maybe it's because English is not my main language, but I don't want to mainly write things in german. Also, I don't think that my german poems are noticably better. Recently, I haven't written a lot, not even any poems. Maybe because I also aven't written any songs and thus haven't had a reason to write song lyrics.

I know that you have to practise to become good at something, but what is also important is to have feedback of some sort. The issue is, I would rather not like to show mt poetry to anyone which is also why I am hesistant to show people my website. I think that that is a shame, but I know people think writing poems or stuff like that is weird. If I wrote about the topics that I write about in a more metaphorical, in a less easy to understand or obvious way, maybe I would be less scared to show it to someone. I don't know.

1/17/26: Programming Games

I just remebered that I have my Itch.io linked on my (home) page, so I just visited and remembered the issues I had with this (actually very simple) game. The buttons that I placed over my background image always changed their position and so they somentimes wouldn't even be on screen at all.
Now, I think I should just have the text on the button themselves and not the buttons over the background image with the text included. I don't know why I never thought of just trying that. Also, I am just writing this to have a reminder to someday try if that would solve the problem.

Moreover, I really want to start working on the dress-up game for which I already drew plenty of clothes and such, and I also want to become a better game programmer (or rather relearn everything bc I forgot it all).

1/17/26: This is more like a devlog

Today, I made the cursor on this page to be a fish which is pretty cool.
Then, I wanted the cursor for my main page to be a star as well, but even though it works on the preview on Brackets, it doesn't seem to work on Neocities and I really don't know why.


Edit (again): It works now!! But I still don't know what the issue was. I just restarted everything a couple of times and then it worked. That's not so cool, but I'm just happy that I now have custom cursors on every page of mine.

1/15/26: Test Test 123

Today, I started using Brackets as an editor because before, I used the Neocities built-in editor. I can say that it is much more practical to use Brackets but there were and are still some weird things happening. For example in the code for this page, there are two curly brackets with no content. However, when I delete them, because there's no use for them, the colors that I assigned to the h1s, h2s and so on just stop working (the heading turns black) and I do not understand it and it's annoying :(

Also, I want to make the font on this page to be an Omori font. That would be so cool but idk how to do it

Edit: I could finally delete the curly brackets and nothing happenedddd
